ab Delay

We’re extremely proud to present our ab Delay, a mighty powerful delay designed with Spatial Positioning in mind.

Whether you are working with a Mono, Stereo or Ambisonics source (1OA through 7OA), ab Delay will automatically adapt its input to whatever you throw at it. ‘ab Delay’ will then output a Stereo or Ambisonics (1OA through 7OA) signal so that you can later decode it to any speaker-array imaginable, from binaural all the way to Surround, Atmos beds, custom speaker arrays, anything!

ab Delay’s internals work natively in Ambisonics, meaning you can apply spatial transformations to the Delay for real psycho-acoustic results… the era of the Ping-Pong is over, welcome to three-dimensional Ping-Pong-Pang-Pung! Have your signal bounce from left to right, from front to back, from top to bottom, anything goes!

When working in Ambisonics, ‘ab Delay’ adjusts the output between 1OA, 2OA, 3OA, 4OA, 5OA, 6OA, and 7OA depending on the track’s properties, you don’t have to do anything!

Up to FOUR independent delay lines can be activated to work either in Parallel or in Serial (or combined!), this is the only delay you’ll need for your music and sound design projects!

ab Delay comes with an innovative Preset system where you create your presets ONCE, and they are Cross-DAW and Cross-OS compatible! Meaning you can move your presets from Mac to Windows (or vice versa) and even share them with other users!

ab Delay also comes with a ‘smart troubleshooting’ algorithm, which will check your signal chain and let you know if something is wrong with it.

With ‘ab Delay’ you can:

• Work completely in Stereo whilst taking advantage of the psycho-acoustic characteristics sound takes when it’s being transformed three-dimensionally.

• Blow-up a Mono/Stereo sound source to Ambisonics, and subsequently to any Surround, Atmos or Immersive format out there.

• Work natively with any 1st, 2nd or 3rd Order Ambisonics signal.

• Apply Delay and Mixdown any Ambisonics signal (from 1OA to 7OA) down to Stereo.

No matter if your input audio is in Mono, Stereo or Ambisonics, ab Delay will automatically try to detect it. Regardless, you can also select manually.

ab Delay will adapat the output signal to the width of your track automatically. Regardless, you can also select manually.

If your output is Ambisonics, you’ll be able to decode the signal to any speaker array configuration, from Stereo to Binaural, Surround formats (such as 5.1) and even Atmos Beds (such as 7.1.2, 7.1.4, etc.)

Regardless of your Input or Output, the Delay signal can be rotated three-dimensionally, helping you achieve immersion never-felt-before.

With our innovative Preset system, you can Save your presets and they will automatically load in any format (AU, AAX, VST3). Additionally, you can even copy or move presets between Mac and Windows systems. And why not, even share them!

Thanks the the routing possibilities ab Delay has to offer, you can forget about the old fashion Ping-Pong (left-right) bouncing, and enter the era of Ping-Pong-Pang-Pung (left-right-front-back-top-bottom), a true three-dimensional delay bounce designed for complete wicked psycho acoustic immersion - compatible with Stereo, Surround and Atmos projects!
